Toluene oxidation by non-thermal plasma combined with palladium catalysts
The oxidation of toluene in air was investigated using a dielectric barrier discharge (DBD) combined with a Pd/Al2O3 catalyst. Pd nanoparticles were well dispersed on a new triptycene-based microporous polymer support by the gas bubbling-assisted membrane reduction (GBMR) method. The stability of Pd nanoparticles is improved by the porous support, and the materials show excellent performance for CO oxidation.
